How to play

The board holds 15 numbered tiles and one empty space. Slide tiles into the gap until the numbers read 1 to 15 in order, left to right, top to bottom.

  • Click a tile next to the empty space to slide it.
  • Click a tile further along the gap’s row or column to slide the whole run at once; each tile counts as one move.

Scoring

The Sliding Puzzle is ranked by moves only; time is shown but never ranked, and equal move counts are ordered by who got there first.

Tips

  • Solve the top row, then the second row. Finish the last two rows column by column (9 with 13, then 10 with 14); only a 2×2 corner with 11, 12 and 15 is left.
  • Work in pairs: position a tile and the one beside it together.
  • Fewer moves beats fast moves here — plan before you slide.
