Which board game suits you?
Choose okey for a four-player game that runs over many hands. In Okey 101 a match ends when a player's total reaches 1,000; classic okey counts down from 20, 30, 40 or 50 points and also comes as a 2-against-2 Teams game. The Okey 101 page explains the 101-point opening and which discards cost a penalty.
Choose tavla for a two-player game with dice: Turkish tavla, or backgammon with the doubling cube, as a single game or a match to 2, 3 or 5 points. The tavla page explains both rule sets.
Choose chess for a game with no dice and no dealt tiles; the computer plays at eight levels, from Pawn to Grandmaster.
Games against the computer have no clock. Online tables are timed: in okey and tavla each move has a time limit plus a time bank for the whole match, and in chess each player has one clock for the whole game.
